This January, Hog Roast Greet is catering for a teacher training day at a local primary school. The event is required for all teaching staff to keep them up to date with their required knowledge, although it is never the most exciting of days. To help keep the staff motivated, Hog Roast Greet will be serving a classic hog roast for the team, with a selection of dishes combined to create the perfect lunch menu. Our catering is sure to go down a treat and will be a great addition to the event.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Greet team arrived at the school in the morning and began to prepare for the midday serving time. We started by slow-roasting the hog, which needed around five hours to cook to perfection. Once the meat was ready, the succulent pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, the staff could enjoy BBQ-pulled jackfruit or marinated chicken kebabs. For the sides, we served homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of fresh salad dishes. Overall, our menu had plenty for the staff to enjoy and the budget serving style allowed everyone to create their perfect lunch from what we had to offer. The training day was a success and our catering definitely helped to keep the staff eager to learn.
