Recently, we had the honour of helping Sandra celebrate a monumental milestone – her well-deserved retirement after dedicating over 40 years to the NHS!
Sandra’s transition from stethoscope to retirement was bittersweet, as she bid farewell to a career she had always loved. Her dedication to her patients, colleagues, and the daily challenges of healthcare was evident in her work, making her retirement a significant moment. Ready to embrace a more relaxed life, Sandra looked forward to travel, family time, and the well-earned relaxation that comes after decades of hard work.
To ensure Sandra received the send-off she deserved, her family, friends, and co-workers orchestrated an epic retirement party with a guest list of 300. Hog Roast Minworth was entrusted with the crucial task of keeping everyone well-fed, and we delivered a feast fit for the occasion – the Southern Slow Roast!
The carnivores in the group were treated to Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, and pulled quarter of minted lamb – a tantalising trio of pre-marinated meats that had guests drooling in anticipation! Our veggie and vegan friends weren’t left out either, as our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls with plant-based ‘slaw hit the spot perfectly.
And because no feast is complete without sides, Hog Roast Minworth brought out the big guns – our famous mac and cheese, potato salad, and corn cobettes dripping with warm melted butter. The food became an instant hit, bringing everyone together in a shared moment of culinary delight.
Sandra, overwhelmed by the effort and love put into her retirement celebration, had a brilliant time surrounded by all of her favourite people. The sizzling send-off, made all the more special thanks to Hog Roast Minworth’s irresistible buffet, ensured that the start of Sandra’s retirement was a memorable occasion filled with joy and laughter.
