Hog Roast Ashted Had The Crowd Buzzing At A Tattoo Convention!

In recent years, tattoos have surged in popularity, transforming from rebellious statements to mainstream expressions of art and identity. Perhaps more surprisingly, the area leading this ink revolution in England is none other than our home city of Birmingham, where a staggering 48% of the population proudly sports tattoos, making it the most tattooed city in the country. As the inked community continues to flourish, so does the demand for events that celebrate this unique form of self-expression – enter tattoo conventions.

This week, Birmingham played host to one such convention, and amidst the buzzing tattoo studios and vibrant art displays, Hog Roast Ashted had the distinct pleasure of being a part of the festivities.

Recognising the essential role that sustenance plays in the tattooing process, Hog Roast Ashted set up shop to provide hearty fuel for the ink enthusiasts and artists alike.

Hog Roast AshtedAs the savoury aroma of slow-cooked goodness filled the air, curious onlookers were drawn to our stall. Our gluten-free buns, generously packed with succulent pulled pork, crunchy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and delectable applesauce, quickly became the talk of the event. Even those who decided not to get inked that day couldn’t resist the temptation of sinking their teeth into these sumptuous hog roast sandwiches.

As Hog Roast Ashted busily served the growing crowds, the vibrant atmosphere of the convention around us was infectious, with artists showcasing their skills, engaging in friendly competitions, and enthusiasts adding to their body art collection with pieces from artists they might not encounter elsewhere. Our team became an integral part of this celebration, as the sizzling sounds from our roasting equipment harmonised with the buzzing energy of the attendees.

The event was not just about tattoos; it was a celebration of self-expression, creativity, and community. Hog Roast Ashted revelled in the opportunity to be a part of this unique gathering, interacting with fun and interesting individuals who shared a passion for both ink and incredible food. As the day unfolded, we delighted hundreds of guests with our mouth-watering hog roast, creating an experience that lingered far beyond the convention walls.

As we packed up our equipment, we left with a sense of fulfilment, grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant tapestry of Birmingham’s inked culture.
