Earlier this winter, Steph contacted Hog Roast Bournville to discuss her upcoming craft fair. The fair has a festive theme and will include stalls from over 50 local artists and makers, with everything from handmade jewellery to custom portraits on offer. Steph hosts several fairs throughout the year but the festive event is always the most popular, with visitors coming with the hopes to find unique gifts. To attract even more visitors, she is looking to provide catering for this event, with help from Hog Roast Bournville. After chatting with our team, it was decided that our classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion, combined with a few additional main dishes.
In preparation for the fair, the Hog Roast Bournville team will arrive at the venue in the morning and set up for the midday start time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog, which needs around five hours to cook to perfection. Additionally, we will be preparing BBQ-pulled skewers, and marinated chicken kebabs, to provide a selection of tasty main dishes. Once ready, the dishes will be served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, guests can enjoy homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and corn cobettes. Overall, we are expecting this menu to be a great addition to the fair and it is sure to be a great way to attract some extra customers.
